Why ExpressTech
Two part tiers, explained plainly. The manufacturer's own part, used where supply allows. We are an independent repair specialist by choice, not an authorised service, and we never suggest otherwise.
High-quality compatible replacements selected and tested by ExpressTech. Lower cost, and we tell you plainly what differs.
Both tiers carry the same 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. Where only one is available, we say so and why. No manufacturer logo is ever used to make a part look more genuine than the evidence supports.

Your Data During a Repair: Exactly What We Do and Don't Touch
ExpressTech's data safety standard — what happens to your personal data during a hardware repair, and the precautions worth taking.
Asked all the time.
Are you authorised by Apple, Samsung or Microsoft?
No. ExpressTech is an independent repair specialist by choice, for every brand we repair. We work to the same standards as authorised service but with broader scope and faster turnaround, and we do not claim official partnership.
What does independent repair actually mean?
Independent means we are not bound by manufacturer rules about which devices we can repair, which parts we use, or how long the queue should be. We use that independence to repair more devices, faster, including older models and complex faults that authorised service may not take on.
Do you use genuine parts?
Always the best quality. On iPhone screens and batteries you choose: Genuine Apple or Premium OEM, both prices shown up front. On Samsung we fit Soft OLED, the best quality available. We never fit the cheap alternative on any device.
Will my data be safe during the repair?
Yes. We do not access your personal data during standard hardware repairs. We do not access, transfer or erase your data as part of the repair, and your data never leaves your device. We recommend a backup beforehand as a precaution, but no data step is part of our normal repair workflow.
What warranty do I get?
Every repair carries a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers the parts we fit and the work we do, and applies equally to walk-in repairs at our Dublin 2 store and to nationwide collection and return. Subsequent accidental damage after the repair is not covered.
Can you repair things authorised service will not take on?
Often, yes. Logic board faults, liquid damage recovery, charging issues, older devices and complex multi-issue diagnostics are part of our repair-first approach. We assess the device first, give you an honest quote, and only proceed with your approval.
Do I need to book or can I walk in?
No appointment is needed for most walk-in repairs. Drop into our Dublin 2 centre at 110 Baggot Street Lower during opening hours, or prepay online before visiting. Most iPhone screen and battery repairs are completed in 60 minutes; other repair times vary by device.
What if I am not in Dublin? Can I send my device?
Yes. We offer nationwide collection and return across Ireland. Book online and we organise tracked courier collection from your address, then return your repaired device, usually within 3 to 4 working days. The courier service is €30 added to the repair cost.
