Refund policy

Please note that services are not returnable under any circumstance. If you are experiencing issues with a service, please see Warranty Coverage below.

14-DAY PRODUCT RETURN

We will replace or credit most products provided that the following terms are met:

a) You are required to notify us in writing by e-mail, online form, or by post of your intention to return products.

b) You then must have the product(s) returned to ExpressTech within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the goods. We suggest using registered post to ensure you have proof of postage.

c) The approval period begins on the day you receive your goods and ends ten (14) calender days later.

d) You are under a duty to take reasonable care of the products. This means that goods must be in fully re-saleable condition, in their original “as new” packaging, and undamaged in any way. All returned goods will be inspected by our trained technical staff to verify “as new” condition. ExpressTech will deem that you have not taken reasonable care of the goods if they have been damaged in your possession, (or in transit whilst being returned) or used.

e) You are responsible for the cost of the delivery back to us. It is also your responsibility to see that they are received by us and not damaged in transit. We highly recommend insuring your postage and getting a receipt for postage to us.

f) Any free gifts or promotional offers received with the product must also be returned.

g) ExpressTech will refund the purchase price (excluding any courier/postal service charges) within a period of 14 days from the date of the return if all of our requirements are met.

CANCEL AN ORDER

According to the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, you can cancel your order within seven (7) days from the date you receive your goods provided the following terms are taken into account:

a) To qualify, you are required to send a notice of cancellation to us in writing by e-mail, our online form, or by post within the seven (7) day time period upon receipt of goods.

b) Our Customer Service Department will send instructions on how to complete your return.

c) You must have the product returned to ExpressTech within seven (7) days for refund processing. We suggest using registered post to ensure you have proof of postage.

d) You are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods. This means that goods must be in fully re-saleable condition, in their original “as new” packaging, and undamaged in any way. All cancelled orders will be inspected by our trained technical staff to verify “as new” condition.

e) ExpressTech reserves the right to make a 20% restocking charge for any goods which are not returned in mint condition or to refuse to accept such goods, at its sole discretion. ExpressTech will deem that you have not taken reasonable care of the goods if they have been damaged in your possession, (or in transit whilst being returned) or used, and not subsequently restored to their factory settings.

f) You are responsible for the cost of the delivery back to us. It is also your responsibility to see that they are received by us and not damaged in transit. We highly recommend insuring your postage.

g) Any free gifts or promotional offers received with the product must also be returned.

h) ExpressTech will refund the purchase price (excluding any courier service charges) within a period of 14 days from the date of cancellation if all of our requirements are met.

i) Please be aware that business to business transactions are not included under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000.

FAULTY GOODS

If your goods should prove defective in materials or workmanship under normal operation or service, such goods will be repaired or replaced only in accordance with any warranty cover or terms as by the manufacturer of the goods provided that the manufacturers’ and our requirements are met.

a) We accept faulty exchanges on hardware products within seven (7) days receipt of order. Goods faulty after the seven (7) days should be referred to the manufacturer directly for exchange or repair.

b) ExpressTech Customer Service staff will advise you of which method of delivery to use to return the products. Depending on the nature of the product purchased, we will either arrange a courier collection, or request that you return the product directly to us.

c) We may issue a replacement product, exchange, or refund depending on the circumstances and the specific manufacturers’ guidelines.

d) A manufacturer’s guarantee will not apply if the fault arises from fair wear and tear, deliberate damage, accidental damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, dropping, misuse or alteration, repair of the goods without manufacturer approval, or exposure to sand or water.

e) All returned faulty goods will be tested by our technicians. If the product is found to be in good working order without defect, we will return the product to you, and the carriage costs of this return will be your responsibility. In this case, ExpressTech also reserves the right to levy an additional reasonable charge to cover the cost of such testing.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

Please be aware that any work from a third party service provider will void your manufacturer warranty. We offer a comprehensive warranty as outlined below.

12 MONTH PART REPLACEMENT WARRANTY

Newly installed parts in all devices are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase. This covers any laptop, phone or tablet Screen and/or LCD and any other repaired or replaced parts that malfunction, or do not work as intended or designed. Warranty is strictly limited to the parts and/or service(s) that have been paid for, except in the situations outlined below.

90-DAY REPAIR SERVICE WARRANTY

We stand behind our software/tech repair services for 90 days from the date of service completion. If the problem you are having is a direct repetition of the exact problem which caused you to request service from ExpressTech, then you are eligible for our 90-Day Repair Service Guarantee, except in the situations outlined below

Our Warranty Does Not Cover:

• Water Damaged Devices
• Jailbroken Devices
• New accidental damage to your device (including any breakage, cracks, drops etc.)
• Tampering with internal hardware
• Broken or damaged warranty seal
• Issues with other parts and functions of the equipment since repair
• Damage resulting from attempted customer repairs
• Software issues unrelated to the repair
• Any loss of data occurring as a result of the repair
• Subsequent changes to your device’s configuration since service (including hardware, software and/or antivirus protection program)

Our warranty also does not cover the outcome of a repair if certain pre-repair conditions exist, including:

• Existence of known manufacturing and/or performance issues related to the device separate from the repair, as noted prior to the repair
• Water damage
• Jailbroken devices
• Tampering with internal hardware: under certain conditions, internal damage may make a repair impossible.

If your device is irreparably damaged as a direct result of a repair attempted by ExpressTech and payment has been rendered, you are entitled to a fully functional refurbished device of equal or greater value of the damaged device based on its model and condition as received and with the original repair issue resolved, or the monetary equivalent of fair market value of the device in that condition as determined by ExpressTech. If payment was not rendered for service, the repair cost shall be deducted from the value, or a refurbished device of the same damaged condition as received shall be offered.
