If you go ahead with the quoted repair, the €30 is credited in full toward the repair cost. If the device cannot be repaired, no repair charge applies beyond any agreed diagnostic or assessment fee.

Confirming you have this exact model
The iPhone 12 is the 6.1-inch model with two rear cameras and a matte aluminium band around the edge. The iPhone 12 Pro is the same size but carries three cameras and a polished stainless steel band, so those two are the pair worth checking carefully.
The 12 mini is obviously smaller and the 12 Pro Max obviously larger. Confirm in Settings, then General, then About.
What this model comes in for
Screens lead, and the damage almost always starts at a corner. Batteries are close behind now that these phones are several years old.
Rear glass is third and more common on this model than on the generation before it, because a flat-sided phone is more likely to land square on its back.
MagSafe and your repair
The iPhone 12 was the first with MagSafe magnets behind the rear glass. If you use MagSafe accessories or a magnetic car mount, mention it when you book any repair that opens the back, because the magnet array and the charging coil have to be transferred correctly or accessories stop gripping properly.

Is it worth repairing?
Yes on a single repair. An iPhone 12 with a new battery or a new screen is a perfectly good phone with software support still ahead of it.
The point to stop and think is a phone needing both a screen and rear glass, where two assemblies stack up to a meaningful share of what the handset is worth. You will get that assessment before you commit rather than after.
Your data, and your warranty
Your data is not accessed, transferred or erased during a standard hardware repair, and the phone is not wiped in order to repair it. A passcode is not needed for most repairs. Back up beforehand as a general precaution, because hardware that is already failing can fail further during any repair.
Every completed repair is backed by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers faulty parts and workmanship, but does not cover new accidental damage, misuse or unrelated faults after the repair. Liquid damage repairs are excluded from that warranty due to the risk of ongoing corrosion, and this is explained before any liquid work is approved.
Water resistance does not survive the phone being opened, at any repair centre. ExpressTech reseals during reassembly, which returns splash resistance, but a repaired iPhone should be treated as no longer water resistant.
Common questions about iPhone 12 repairs
How do I tell my iPhone 12 from a 12 Pro? Count the rear cameras. Two is the 12, three is the 12 Pro. They are otherwise the same size.
Will MagSafe still work after a back glass replacement? Yes, when it is done properly. It is tested before your phone is returned.
Is the Ceramic Shield front repairable on its own? No. It is the front layer of a bonded display assembly, so the assembly is replaced.
