Packing it safely, step by step
-
Back it up
If the device powers on, back it up first as a general precaution. We do not access your personal data during standard hardware repairs.
-
Power off and remove the SIM
Turn the device off, take out the SIM card, and remove any case or cover so nothing rattles loose.
-
Protect the screen
Wrap the device in bubble wrap or a few layers of soft padding, with extra over the screen and corners.
-
Use a sturdy box
Place it in a small, firm box with padding all around, so it cannot move. A padded envelope alone is not enough.
-
Leave out accessories
Keep chargers, cables and headphones at home unless we have asked for them. Just the device and anything we requested.
-
Seal and label
Seal the box well and attach the label from your booking. That is it, the courier does the rest.

Questions about courier repair
How should I pack my device?
Back it up, power it off, remove the SIM and case, wrap it in padding with extra over the screen, and place it in a small sturdy box with padding all around so it cannot move. Seal it and attach your booking label.
Do I need the original box?
No. Any small, firm box with enough padding works. The aim is simply that the device cannot move inside it. A padded envelope on its own is not enough protection.
Is my device insured while in transit?
Yes. Collection and Return is tracked both ways and insured in transit, collected from your address and returned to it.
How long does courier repair take?
Usually 3 to 4 working days door to door, including collection and return. Local Collection & Return is a flat €30 in Dublin and local areas, Monday to Friday.
