The iPhone 12 mini is the 5.4-inch model, unmistakably the smallest phone of its generation and one of the smallest modern iPhones Apple made. It carries two rear cameras.
If your phone feels normal-sized rather than notably small, it is an iPhone 12. Confirm in Settings, then General, then About.
What this model comes in for
Batteries dominate on the mini, more than on any other model in its generation, and the reason is physical rather than a defect. A smaller phone carries a smaller cell, so the same percentage of wear removes more of your usable day.

A word about repairing a mini at all

Your data, and your warranty
Your data is not accessed, transferred or erased during a standard hardware repair, and the phone is not wiped in order to repair it. A passcode is not needed for most repairs. Back up beforehand as a general precaution, because hardware that is already failing can fail further during any repair.
Every completed repair is backed by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers faulty parts and workmanship, but does not cover new accidental damage, misuse or unrelated faults after the repair. Liquid damage repairs are excluded from that warranty due to the risk of ongoing corrosion, and this is explained before any liquid work is approved.
Water resistance does not survive the phone being opened, at any repair centre. ExpressTech reseals during reassembly, which returns splash resistance, but a repaired iPhone should be treated as no longer water resistant.
Common questions about iPhone 12 Mini repairs
My mini's battery is much worse than my old iPhone. Is it faulty? Almost certainly not. The mini carries a physically smaller cell, so identical wear costs you more hours.
Is the mini harder to repair? It is more tightly packed, so it takes more care on the bench. It is a routine repair here.
Should I repair it or replace it with a bigger phone? If the size is why you own it, repair it. Nothing current is this small.
