The iPhone 15 Pro Max is the 6.7-inch model with three rear cameras, a titanium frame and a flush Action button. It is the largest phone of its generation and carries the longest optical zoom in the range.
A sliding mute switch at that size means a 15 Plus instead. Confirm in Settings, then General, then About.
What this model comes in for
Screens lead, and by a wide margin. This is the largest and heaviest phone of its year.
Cameras follow, and on this model that includes the long telephoto, which has more moving parts than the other modules and is the one most often damaged by a drop.

The zoom camera, and why it is worth testing before you book
The Pro Max carries a longer optical zoom than any other phone in its generation. It is also the most mechanically complex module in the phone.
Before booking a camera repair, work through every zoom level and note exactly which are affected. The modules are independent, so only the failed one is replaced, and on this model that distinction can change the quote substantially.
Titanium and impact damage
The frame absorbs corner impacts well, so this phone can look nearly undamaged with a failed display underneath. That is expected rather than odd.
Is it worth repairing?
Yes. This is a recent flagship with a long software life and high resale value, and any single repair is a fraction of replacing it.
Its parts are the most expensive in the generation, so a phone needing a screen and a camera together is worth quoting as a pair. You will be given both numbers before deciding.
Your data, and your warranty
Your data is not accessed, transferred or erased during a standard hardware repair, and the phone is not wiped in order to repair it. A passcode is not needed for most repairs. Back up beforehand as a general precaution, because hardware that is already failing can fail further during any repair.
Every completed repair is backed by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers faulty parts and workmanship, but does not cover new accidental damage, misuse or unrelated faults after the repair. Liquid damage repairs are excluded from that warranty due to the risk of ongoing corrosion, and this is explained before any liquid work is approved.
Water resistance does not survive the phone being opened, at any repair centre. ExpressTech reseals during reassembly, which returns splash resistance, but a repaired iPhone should be treated as no longer water resistant.
