If you go ahead with the quoted repair, the €30 is credited in full toward the repair cost. If the device cannot be repaired, no repair charge applies beyond any agreed diagnostic or assessment fee.

Charging port repair on the iPhone 15 series, in detail
Before booking, check the port with a torch for compacted lint. It imitates a failed port exactly and costs nothing to clear. The iPhone charging port repair page has the full method.
USB-C changed what a failing port looks like
The iPhone 15 generation moved to USB-C, and that has a direct consequence when things go wrong: a USB-C port can fail partially.
There are more contacts inside, and power and data run through different ones. So an iPhone 15 can charge perfectly while refusing to connect to a computer, or charge slowly while refusing to fast charge, with the rest working normally. On Lightning that pattern was rare and usually meant the whole port had gone.
If you are seeing one function work and another fail, that is a strong signal the port is the fault rather than the cable or the battery, and it is worth mentioning when you book.
One thing that is not a fault
Charging an iPhone 15 with a third-party USB-C cable is completely fine. It does not damage the port and it does not affect any repair. If someone has told you otherwise, they are wrong.

A note on cleaning USB-C
The lint check above applies, with one extra caution: the contacts inside a USB-C port are finer than Lightning's and bend more easily. Wood or plastic only, and gently.
