Battery replacement on the iPhone 15 series, in detail
Early enough that it is worth ruling out software first
The iPhone 15 generation is only now reaching the age where genuine battery wear appears, which makes it the generation where ExpressTech most often finds nothing wrong with the battery at all.
Before booking, do two things. Restart the phone fully, because an iPhone that has not been restarted in weeks accumulates background processes that drain it. Then open Settings, Battery and look at usage since the last full charge. If one app accounts for most of the drain, that is not a battery fault and a new cell will not fix it.
Genuine wear looks different and it is consistent: the same decline every day, shutdowns while showing charge remaining, and a sharp drop in cold weather. If that is what you have, a replacement is straightforwardly worthwhile on a phone with this much life ahead of it.

A sliding mute switch means a standard 15 or 15 Plus. An Action button means a Pro. Size separates each pair, and every model takes a different cell.
What to expect afterwards
Charge and use the phone normally. Fitting a non-Genuine battery removes the Battery Health percentage from Settings and iOS may show a parts notice; neither affects performance, and both are explained beforehand.

Do you repair older iPhones and iPhone SE models?
Yes. We repair every iPhone from the iPhone X series (X, XS, XR) through the three generations of iPhone SE up to the latest iPhone 17 lineup. Parts availability varies by model. For very old models we confirm parts availability before starting work.
How long do iPhone repairs usually take?
Most iPhone screen and battery repairs are completed in 60 minutes at our Dublin 2 store. A straightforward charging port clean is done while you wait; rear camera and back glass repairs usually take longer and are most often completed the same day. Visit our store during opening hours, no appointment needed. For Local Collection & Return customers, allow 3 to 4 working days from collection to return.
Can I visit without an appointment?
Yes. Walk in to 110 Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2 any time during opening hours. No booking required. Most common iPhone repairs are completed while you wait.
Do you offer nationwide iPhone repair by courier?
Yes. Walk in to our Dublin 2 workshop, post your iPhone to us from anywhere in Ireland, or book Local Collection & Return in Dublin and local areas (€30 flat per shipment, round trip). Every repair is done at our Dublin 2 workshop.
Will my iPhone data be safe during the repair?
Yes. We do not access your data, photos, contacts or messages during standard hardware repairs, and your data is never accessed, transferred or erased unless you explicitly ask us to carry out a data-related service. We recommend keeping an iCloud backup as a general precaution before any repair.
Do you provide VAT invoices for business or school customers?

What warranty comes with an iPhone repair?
Every completed repair is backed by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers faulty parts and workmanship, but does not cover new accidental damage, misuse or unrelated faults after the repair. Liquid damage repairs are excluded due to the risk of ongoing corrosion.
