The iPhone 14 Plus is the 6.7-inch model with a notch and two rear cameras. It was the first large non-Pro iPhone.
A pill-shaped cutout at that size means a 14 Pro Max instead. Confirm in Settings, then General, then About.
What this model comes in for
Screens lead, as on any large phone. Batteries come second, and this model produces a specific pattern worth explaining.
The 14 Plus shipped with unusually good battery life, so owners are comparing against a very high starting point. When ordinary wear arrives it reads as a fault. It usually is not, and a replacement restores what the phone had.
Cheap back glass on a large phone
Like the standard iPhone 14, the 14 Plus opens from the back, so back glass replacement is far less expensive than on the Pro models or the generation either side.
That matters more on a large phone, because a 6.7-inch handset lands on more glass when dropped, and rear damage is common. If you have been living with a cracked back on a 14 Plus, it is worth a quote.
Is it worth repairing?
Yes, clearly. This is one of the cheapest large iPhones to keep running, because the chassis design makes rear glass affordable and the battery is a straightforward repair.
The screen is the one genuinely large cost, being a 6.7-inch assembly. A 14 Plus needing a screen and nothing else is still comfortably worth repairing.
Your data, and your warranty
Your data is not accessed, transferred or erased during a standard hardware repair, and the phone is not wiped in order to repair it. A passcode is not needed for most repairs. Back up beforehand as a general precaution, because hardware that is already failing can fail further during any repair.
Every completed repair is backed by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers faulty parts and workmanship, but does not cover new accidental damage, misuse or unrelated faults after the repair. Liquid damage repairs are excluded from that warranty due to the risk of ongoing corrosion, and this is explained before any liquid work is approved.
Water resistance does not survive the phone being opened, at any repair centre. ExpressTech reseals during reassembly, which returns splash resistance, but a repaired iPhone should be treated as no longer water resistant.
