Two very different repairs in one generation
This is the most useful thing on this page, and most iPhone 14 owners have never been told it.
The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus open from the back. Apple rebuilt the internal structure of those two models so the rear panel is designed to come off. Since the iPhone 8, back glass had meant laser-separating glass bonded to the frame. On these two, it does not.
The practical result is that back glass replacement on an iPhone 14 or 14 Plus costs dramatically less than on the generation either side of it. If you have been living with a cracked back because you assumed it would be expensive, get it quoted. It very likely is not.
This does not apply to the 14 Pro or 14 Pro Max. Those keep the older bonded construction and are priced like an iPhone 13. Check which half of the generation you are in before assuming anything.
Picking the right card
Look at the top of your screen. A notch means a 14 or 14 Plus, and the cheaper repair. A pill-shaped Dynamic Island means a 14 Pro or 14 Pro Max, and the traditional one. Then size separates each pair.
