You get the price before any work begins. If we find something else, we stop and tell you rather than adding it to the bill.
The exact price is confirmed before any work begins. Complex faults, including liquid damage, no-power, intermittent faults and logic board issues, carry a €30 diagnostic fee. If you go ahead with the quoted repair, the €30 is credited in full toward the repair cost. If the device cannot be repaired, no repair charge applies beyond any agreed diagnostic or assessment fee.

ExpressTech repairs every iPhone 11 model at its Dublin 2 workshop and by nationwide Collection & Return across Ireland: the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Screen replacement, battery replacement, charging port repair, back glass replacement, rear camera and camera lens repair, and liquid damage diagnostics are all available for this generation.
The iPhone 11 generation launched in 2019, which makes every one of these phones old enough that battery wear is now the normal reason people bring them in. The exact price is confirmed up front where the fault is clear. Walk-in screen and battery replacements are usually completed in about 60 minutes.
You can walk in Monday to Saturday at Dublin 2 without an appointment. If you are outside Dublin, Collection & Return runs Monday to Friday for €30 flat per shipment, round trip, tracked and insured, door to door. Both routes are the same repair, by the same technicians, at the same price.
ExpressTech has been trusted across Ireland since 2007 and holds 1,000+ Google reviews at 4.5 stars. Every repair is priced and confirmed with you before any work begins.
Which iPhone 11 do you have, and what it means for the repair
Telling the three models apart
Turn the phone over and count the camera lenses. That single check separates the whole generation.
Two lenses means an iPhone 11. It is the 6.1-inch model, and it is the only one of the three with an LCD display rather than OLED.
Three lenses means a Pro. The 5.8-inch phone is the iPhone 11 Pro and the 6.5-inch one is the iPhone 11 Pro Max, and both use OLED. If you are unsure which of the two you have, the Pro Max is noticeably larger in the hand rather than marginally.
If you would rather confirm it exactly, open Settings, then General, then About, and read Model Name. ExpressTech identifies the model on arrival at no cost if the screen is too damaged to check.
Why LCD versus OLED matters on this generation
This is the one place where the iPhone 11 and the two Pro models genuinely diverge as repairs, and it is worth understanding before you compare prices.
The iPhone 11 uses an LCD panel. LCD assemblies cost less, so an iPhone 11 screen replacement is the cheapest in the generation. LCD also fails differently: a damaged LCD typically shows black blotches, spreading ink-like patches, or a white screen, rather than the coloured lines an OLED produces.
The 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max use OLED. OLED assemblies cost more, and they fail with green or pink vertical lines, burn-in, or areas that stop lighting. If your Pro has developed a line down the screen, that is panel failure and no software fix exists for it.
What this generation is coming in for now
Six years of charge cycles have made batteries the dominant repair on the iPhone 11 line, and the pattern is consistent: the phone shows plenty of charge remaining and then shuts down, particularly in cold weather.
Check Settings, Battery, Battery Health & Charging. On a phone this age it is common to see maximum capacity in the seventies or lower, and a replacement restores a full day of use for a fraction of what a newer handset costs.
Charging ports are the second most common. The iPhone 11 generation uses Lightning, and six years of insertions wear the connector. Before booking anything, look into the port with a torch, because compacted pocket lint imitates a failed port almost exactly and clears with a wooden toothpick.
Rear glass is the third. From the iPhone 8 onward the back glass is bonded to the frame and needs laser separation to remove cleanly, which is why it is a workshop repair rather than a panel swap.
Face ID on this generation
The iPhone 11 line uses Face ID, and the components that drive it sit in the notch at the top of the display. When ExpressTech replaces a screen, those original components are transferred to the new assembly as standard, so Face ID continues to work.
Where it cannot be restored is when the Face ID components themselves are damaged, usually by a hard impact or by liquid. Face ID hardware is paired to the individual phone at the factory and cannot be replaced by any repairer, including Apple. If that is the case, ExpressTech tells you before the repair rather than after it.
Is an iPhone 11 still worth repairing?
Usually yes, and this deserves a straight answer rather than an upsell.
A battery replacement on an otherwise sound iPhone 11 is one of the best-value repairs available. The phone still receives software updates, the cameras are still good, and a new cell typically returns it to all-day use. The same is true of a charging port.
Where ExpressTech would pause is a phone needing several repairs at once. An iPhone 11 wanting a screen, a battery and rear glass together is usually past the point of sensible spend, and you will be told that before you commit. Liquid damage on a phone this age is the clearest case of all: corrosion on a six-year-old board can cost more to attempt than the handset is worth, with no guaranteed outcome.
Parts and quality
ExpressTech uses the right quality part for the device and repair: Soft OLED screens — the iPhone screen standard — with one clear price per model, and a choice of two battery qualities with Genuine Apple available where supply allows. What applies to your model is explained before any work begins.
Two things are worth knowing on this generation. Fitting a non-Genuine battery removes the Battery Health percentage from Settings on some models, and iOS may display a parts notice after a non-Genuine replacement. Neither affects how the repair performs, and both are explained beforehand rather than left to be discovered.
ExpressTech is an independent repair specialist by choice and does not claim any manufacturer authorisation.
Warranty
Every completed repair at ExpressTech is backed by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers faulty parts and workmanship, but does not cover new accidental damage, misuse or unrelated faults after the repair.
Liquid damage repairs are excluded from the 12-month warranty due to the risk of ongoing corrosion, and this is explained before any liquid damage work is approved.
Common questions about iPhone 11 repairs
Will my iPhone 11 still get iOS updates after a repair? A repair has no effect on software support. Whether the phone continues to receive updates is Apple's decision about the model, not a consequence of anything ExpressTech does.
Why is the iPhone 11 screen cheaper than the 11 Pro screen? Because the 11 uses an LCD panel and the Pro models use OLED. It is a genuine parts cost difference, not a tier or a discount.
Will my iPhone 11 still be water resistant afterwards? No. On a phone this age the original seals have already hardened with time, and opening it ends the factory rating for good. ExpressTech reseals during reassembly, which returns splash resistance. Full explanation on the iPhone repair page.
Will I lose my photos? No. The phone is not wiped in order to repair it, and a passcode is not needed for most repairs. Back up beforehand as a general precaution, because hardware that is already failing can fail further during a repair.
Can you repair an iPhone 11 that another shop has already opened? Usually yes. Tell ExpressTech what was done previously, as it shortens diagnosis considerably on a phone this age.
The questions people actually ask.
How long does an iPhone 11 repair take?
Most iPhone 11 screen and battery repairs are completed in around 60 minutes. We'll always confirm the expected turnaround before any work begins. Visit our store any time during opening hours, no appointment needed. For Local Collection & Return customers, allow 3 to 4 working days.
Is my data safe during the repair?
Yes. We do not access your data during standard hardware repairs, and it is never accessed, transferred or erased unless you explicitly ask us to carry out a data-related service. We recommend keeping a backup as a general precaution.
What warranty do you provide on iPhone 11 repairs?
Every iPhone 11 repair comes with a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. If a fault related to the repair appears within that period, we fix it at no charge.
Do you offer iPhone 11 repairs nationwide?
Yes. Walk in to our Dublin 2 workshop, post your device to us from anywhere in Ireland, or book Local Collection & Return in Dublin and local areas (€30 flat per shipment, round trip). Every repair is done at our Dublin 2 workshop. VAT invoices available for all business and school repairs. Trusted since 2007 with over 1,000 Google reviews.
