The iPhone 11 Pro is the 5.8-inch model with three rear cameras. It is the smallest phone in its generation, and that is the quickest way to separate it from the 11 Pro Max, which is noticeably larger in the hand rather than marginally.
Two rear cameras instead of three means you have the standard iPhone 11. Confirm in Settings, then General, then About.
What this model comes in for
Batteries lead, and the 11 Pro feels it earlier than its larger sibling because the smaller body carries a smaller cell. The same percentage of wear removes more of your working day.
Screens are second, and on this model that means an OLED assembly rather than the cheaper LCD the standard 11 uses. Charging ports are third.
OLED failure on a phone this age
If your 11 Pro has developed a green or pink vertical line, or an area that has stopped lighting, that is OLED panel failure rather than anything software can address. It does not recover and it usually spreads. Screen replacement is the only repair for it.
Faint dimming at very low brightness is normal OLED behaviour and is not a fault. Do not replace a working screen because of it.
Is it worth repairing?
On a single repair, yes. The 11 Pro remains a capable phone, and a battery replacement restores a full day of use for a fraction of a replacement handset.
The calculation tightens when an OLED screen is also needed, because that assembly costs meaningfully more than the standard 11's. A 11 Pro wanting a screen and a battery together is a genuine conversation rather than an automatic quote, and you will get an honest view before committing.
Your data, and your warranty
Your data is not accessed, transferred or erased during a standard hardware repair, and the phone is not wiped in order to repair it. A passcode is not needed for most repairs. Back up beforehand as a general precaution, because hardware that is already failing can fail further during any repair.
Every completed repair is backed by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers faulty parts and workmanship, but does not cover new accidental damage, misuse or unrelated faults after the repair. Liquid damage repairs are excluded from that warranty due to the risk of ongoing corrosion, and this is explained before any liquid work is approved.
Water resistance does not survive the phone being opened, at any repair centre. ExpressTech reseals during reassembly, which returns splash resistance, but a repaired iPhone should be treated as no longer water resistant.
Common questions about iPhone 11 Pro repairs
My 11 Pro has a green line down the screen. Is that fixable without a new screen? No. It is panel failure, and no update, reset or app will clear it.
Why does my Pro cost more to repair than a standard iPhone 11? The Pro uses an OLED display; the standard 11 uses LCD. Different parts, different cost.
My battery drains faster than my partner's 11 Pro Max. Is mine faulty? Probably not. The Pro carries a smaller cell than the Pro Max, so identical wear costs you more hours.
