If you go ahead with the quoted repair, the €30 is credited in full toward the repair cost. If the device cannot be repaired, no repair charge applies beyond any agreed diagnostic or assessment fee.

The iPhone 16 Pro has three rear cameras in a square array and a Camera Control button on the right edge. Two cameras arranged vertically means a standard iPhone 16.
The 16 Pro Max is the same phone in a larger body, so if yours feels compact for a Pro it is the 16 Pro. Confirm in Settings, then General, then About.
What this model comes in for
Screens, almost exclusively. Camera faults follow, with three independent modules rather than two.

Camera Control and impact damage
Camera Control is a pressure and touch sensitive control set into the frame rather than a simple button. A screen replacement does not disturb it, and it is tested before your phone goes back regardless.
Where it becomes relevant is a drop onto the right edge, which can affect the control and the display in one event. If it has stopped responding since a drop, say so when you book rather than mentioning only the screen. It is a separate part and a separate check.
Check Apple's warranty before you pay anyone
Check what cover you already hold before paying anyone. A component that stopped working on an undamaged phone is usually Apple's responsibility under warranty, and you will be pointed there first.
Accidental damage is never covered by the standard warranty, and that is the case where an independent repair is the faster and cheaper route.
Is it worth repairing?
Yes, straightforwardly. A current Pro holds high resale value and has its full software life ahead of it, so any single repair is far better value than replacing the handset.
Only significant liquid damage warrants a real conversation, and that is true of any phone at any age.
Your data, and your warranty
Your data is not accessed, transferred or erased during a standard hardware repair, and the phone is not wiped in order to repair it. A passcode is not needed for most repairs. Back up beforehand as a general precaution, because hardware that is already failing can fail further during any repair.
Every completed repair is backed by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers faulty parts and workmanship, but does not cover new accidental damage, misuse or unrelated faults after the repair. Liquid damage repairs are excluded from that warranty due to the risk of ongoing corrosion, and this is explained before any liquid work is approved.
Water resistance does not survive the phone being opened, at any repair centre. ExpressTech reseals during reassembly, which returns splash resistance, but a repaired iPhone should be treated as no longer water resistant.

How do I tell a 16 Pro from a 16 Pro Max? Size. Both carry three cameras and Camera Control; the Pro Max is noticeably larger.
Only one camera has failed. Do I need all three replaced? No. The modules are independent and only the failed one is replaced.
Can you repair the charging port? That one is confirmed individually for this model. Ask and you will be given today's position.
