Spatial video, and why a lens fault can be more than it looks
The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus arrange their two rear cameras vertically rather than diagonally, and that alignment is what lets them record spatial video.
Because the two cameras work as a pair for that feature, damage to one can affect more than obvious photo quality. If ordinary photos look acceptable but something has gone wrong with depth or spatial capture, mention it when you book. It changes what gets tested and it can change which module is quoted.
Check the warranty first
On a phone this new, a camera that failed without an impact may be Apple's to fix at no cost. If that is what you describe, ExpressTech will tell you to check with Apple before paying anyone.
