Complex faults, including liquid damage, no-power, intermittent faults and logic board issues, carry a €30 diagnostic fee. If you go ahead with the quoted repair, the €30 is credited in full toward the repair cost. If the device cannot be repaired, no repair charge applies beyond any agreed diagnostic or assessment fee.

Why an IP rating did not save it
An IP rating is earned in a laboratory, on a new device, in still fresh water at a stated depth and time. It is a test result rather than a promise about the sea, a pool, a shower, or a phone that has been in a pocket for several years.
The seals age. Heat, daily flexing and drops that crack nothing visible all degrade them. An iPhone 13 does not have the water resistance it had in the box, and nothing about that is a defect.

Warranty
Liquid damage repairs are excluded from the 12-month warranty due to the risk of ongoing corrosion. Treatment may restore function, but corrosion can continue afterwards, so long-term stability cannot be guaranteed. This is explained in full before any work is approved.
