If you go ahead with the quoted repair, the €30 is credited in full toward the repair cost. If the device cannot be repaired, no repair charge applies beyond any agreed diagnostic or assessment fee.

My iPad just got wet. What should I do right now?
Power it off and keep it off. Do not charge it, and do not try to turn it on to check if it works: that is when most extra damage happens. Do not put it in rice, which does nothing for the corrosion inside and wastes time you do not have. Keep the device upright and still, and get it to us as quickly as you can. Liquid keeps corroding inside after the outside feels dry, so the first hours give the best chance of recovery.
What does the liquid damage service include, and what does it cost?
The price shown on your model page is for the complete liquid damage assessment: we open the device, inspect it, treat the corrosion with professional ultrasonic cleaning, test what we can, and give you an honest picture of its condition. It is an assessment and treatment service, not a guaranteed complete repair. If further repair work would help, for example a new battery or screen, we quote it clearly first and nothing proceeds without your approval.
Can a water damaged iPad be saved?
Often, especially when it is treated quickly, but with liquid damage no outcome can be promised. Corrosion affects every device differently. What we promise instead is honesty: after the assessment we tell you exactly what we found, what works, what does not, and whether a repair is worth your money before you decide anything.
How long does liquid damage treatment take?
Liquid damage cannot be rushed, because proper corrosion treatment and drying take time. We usually begin the assessment the same day the device reaches us, and we contact you with the findings and any quote before anything else happens. Timing for any follow-on repair is confirmed with you at that point, once we know exactly what the device needs.
Is liquid damage covered by the 12-month warranty?
No. Treatment can restore function, but corrosion can continue inside a device afterwards, so liquid damage repairs are excluded from the 12-month warranty. We explain this clearly before any work begins, so you can make an informed decision about whether to proceed.
What about my photos and data?
Liquid damage can put data at risk, which is another reason quick treatment matters. During the repair itself we do not access your personal data, and our data-safe approach applies as it does to every repair. If the device cannot be economically repaired, we can talk you through data recovery options honestly, including what is and is not likely to be recoverable.
