What it costs to find out

Assessment is free where the fault is clear — screen, battery, back glass and obvious charging issues. Complex faults, including liquid damage, no-power, intermittent faults and logic board issues, carry a €30 diagnostic fee. If you go ahead with the quoted repair, the €30 is credited in full toward the repair cost. If the device cannot be repaired, no repair charge applies beyond any agreed diagnostic or assessment fee.

iPhone 13 Pro Max repairs, in detail

Repairs available for this exact model

Confirming you have this exact model

The iPhone 13 Pro Max is the 6.7-inch model with three rear cameras, the largest phone of its generation. If your three-camera phone is the same size as a standard iPhone 13, you have the 13 Pro.

Confirm in Settings, then General, then About.

What this model comes in for

Screens lead, and by a wider margin than on the smaller models. A large, heavy phone falls harder and presents more glass to the floor.

Rear glass is unusually common on this model for the same reason. Batteries are third, since the Pro Max carries the largest cell of its generation and holds up longest.

The size premium, and the camera

Every part on a Pro Max costs more than the equivalent on a smaller model in the same generation, because the parts are physically larger. The display in particular is the dearest of its year.

Against that, this is the model where a camera repair is most clearly worth doing, because the camera system is a large part of why people chose it over the standard 13.

Is it worth repairing?

For a battery or a single camera module, clearly yes. This was the flagship of its year and remains highly capable.

For a screen plus rear glass together, two large assemblies stack up quickly toward what a good used replacement costs. ExpressTech sets that out plainly rather than quoting both without comment.

Your data, and your warranty

Your data is not accessed, transferred or erased during a standard hardware repair, and the phone is not wiped in order to repair it. A passcode is not needed for most repairs. Back up beforehand as a general precaution, because hardware that is already failing can fail further during any repair.

Every completed repair is backed by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers faulty parts and workmanship, but does not cover new accidental damage, misuse or unrelated faults after the repair. Liquid damage repairs are excluded from that warranty due to the risk of ongoing corrosion, and this is explained before any liquid work is approved.

Water resistance does not survive the phone being opened, at any repair centre. ExpressTech reseals during reassembly, which returns splash resistance, but a repaired iPhone should be treated as no longer water resistant.

Common questions about iPhone 13 Pro Max repairs

Why is my repair dearer than the same repair on a 13 Pro? Larger parts. It is a genuine cost difference, not a premium.

My camera rattles when the phone vibrates. That is a failed stabiliser in the module. It is replaced, and no software fixes it.

Is a new battery worth it on this phone? If the screen and cameras are good, comfortably yes.

Comparing models in this generation? iPhone 13 series repairs covers the differences between them.

Most iPhone 13 Pro Max screen, battery and charging port repairs are completed in around 60 minutes. We'll always confirm the expected turnaround before any work begins.

Is my iPhone 13 Pro Max repair covered by a warranty?
