What varies between part qualities
For screens: colour accuracy, brightness range, touch response and long-term durability all depend on the display panel used. For batteries: the cells inside determine real capacity, charging behaviour and how the battery holds up over hundreds of charge cycles. A poorly chosen part can work on day one and disappoint within months.
How ExpressTech chooses parts
We use the right quality part for the device and repair. Where part choices are available, we explain the options clearly before work begins. Our two customer grades are Genuine Manufacturer and ExpressTech Premium — original manufacturer parts where available, and our own carefully selected premium grade everywhere we stand behind it.
Where we offer a non-branded option, the part is selected for reliability, fit and performance — not because it is a cheap substitute.
Quality is also workmanship
The part is half the repair; the installation and testing are the other half. Before a device leaves the bench, ExpressTech tests the repaired function and the key surrounding functions affected by the repair. That testing standard applies to every repair, whichever quality grade you choose.

Will I notice the difference between quality grades day to day?
For many customers both grades feel excellent, because both are held to the same installation and testing standard. The differences that matter most are long-term durability and exact match to the original — which is why we explain the real options for your specific repair before work begins.
Why not always use the highest grade?
Supply genuinely varies, and for some devices and repairs a single grade is the honest offer. We never imply every repair offers both.
