Your data
We do not access your personal data during standard hardware repairs. Your data is never accessed, transferred or erased unless you explicitly ask us to carry out a data-related service.
We recommend keeping a backup as a general precaution before any repair.

Time and Quality
Most MacBook screen replacements are completed the same day, with certain models requiring up to 24 hours for adhesive curing and calibration.
Every screen is installed with precision tools, anti-static handling and exact torque specifications, just as the device requires.
All repairs include a 6–12 month warranty, depending on the model.

What happens next

Book or walk in
Walk in to 110 Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2, prepay online, or book Collection & Return — tracked and insured, door to door, Monday to Friday.

Assessment
Assessment is free where the fault is clear — screen, battery, back glass and obvious charging issues. Complex faults, including liquid damage, no-power, intermittent faults and logic board issues, carry a €30 diagnostic fee. If you go ahead with the quoted repair, the €30 is credited in full toward the repair cost.

Your approval
No additional paid work is carried out without customer approval. If we find another issue during repair, we explain it clearly and confirm the cost before proceeding.

Repair and testing
Before a device leaves the bench, ExpressTech tests the repaired function and the key surrounding functions affected by the repair.

Ready
Collect in store, or your device is returned by tracked, insured courier.
You’ll receive updates by text and email and can track your repair using your ticket details. The stages you’ll see: Ticket created → Device received → Assessment started → Waiting for approval → Waiting for parts → In repair → Testing → Ready for collection or courier return → Completed.
12-month warranty
Every completed repair is backed by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. It covers faulty parts and workmanship, but does not cover new accidental damage, misuse or unrelated faults after the repair. Liquid damage repairs are excluded from the 12-month warranty due to the risk of ongoing corrosion.
