How to Find Your Laptop Model
Works for Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus, Acer and most other Windows laptops.
Method 1 — In Windows Settings
- Open Settings (press Windows key + I)
- Go to System
- Click About
- Your device name and model appear under Device specifications
Method 2 — Label on the underside
Flip your laptop over. Most laptops have a white or silver sticker on the bottom with the model number printed clearly — e.g. “Dell Inspiron 15 3520” or “HP Pavilion 15-eg3xxx”.
Method 3 — BIOS screen
Restart your laptop and press F2 or Delete during startup. The BIOS screen shows your exact model name and number.
